Training & Readiness

ROAD TO REFORM • PRIORITY 12

THE PROBLEM
Minimum annual training does not fully prepare deputies, detention officers, dispatchers, supervisors, and command staff for high-risk decisions.

THE PLAN
• Build recurring scenario-based training.
• Expand supervisor and command leadership development.
• Strengthen legal updates, de-escalation, firearms, emergency driving, detention, and crisis response training.
• Track qualifications, deficiencies, and remedial training.

WHAT CHANGES ON DAY ONE
Order a training-gap assessment by division, rank, assignment, and high-liability task.

THE STANDARD
Train for the day you hope never comes.

Move beyond minimum requirements with recurring legal, tactical, supervisory, investigative, emergency-response, and scenario-based training.
