JERRY RAMOS: COMMUNITY SERVICE IN HALL COUNTY & NORTHEAST GEORGIA
Jerry Ramos believes public service begins long before Election Day.
His involvement in Hall County and Northeast Georgia includes community partnerships, family outreach, child-safety initiatives, resource events, and nonprofit service through Civic Guardians of NE Georgia, which he and his wife co-founded in 2024. That work reflects his belief that strong communities are built when residents, nonprofits, churches, businesses, schools, and public-safety organizations work together.

In 2024, my wife and I co-founded Civic Guardians of NE Georgia with a simple belief: when families in our community are struggling, we should not wait for someone else to step forward. We had already seen the tremendous work being done by local nonprofits, churches, businesses, public-safety agencies, schools, and community organizations. Rather than duplicate those efforts, we wanted Civic Guardians to become a partner a bridge connecting people in need with organizations and resources already working to help them.
What began as a desire to serve quickly grew into partnerships, donation drives, community events, child-safety initiatives, and outreach efforts supporting children, families, first responders, and vulnerable members of our community.
Through Civic Guardians, we have worked alongside numerous community partners to provide essential items to families in need, comfort supplies for children experiencing crisis, winter clothing, school supplies, Digital ID Kits for children and at-risk adults, community resources, and educational outreach on issues affecting families throughout Northeast Georgia.
One of the greatest lessons this work has taught me is that no single organization can meet every need but when a community works together, we can accomplish far more than any of us could alone. Civic Guardians was never created for recognition. It was created to show up, build partnerships, fill gaps, and help wherever we can.
For my wife and me, it is personal. This is the community we call home, and we believe strengthening a community begins with neighbors being willing to take care of one another.
Serve where you can. Partner whenever possible. Help people when they need it.
